Glittery Ephemera

The Whedonverse expands! Dollhouse premiers this autumn.

After FOX completely bungled Firefly, Joss Whedon swore off the small screen in favor of movies. But like the Godfather, just when Joss thought he was out, they pulled him back in. According to Joss, the show is about “Dollhouse is a suspense drama about a girl who can have any personality except her own.” The main character, Echo, is played by an old Joss alumn, Eliza Dushku. She’s played Faith in the Buffyverse. According to the Dollverse website, “the show will also revolve around the people who run the mysterious “dollhouse” and two other “dolls,” a man and woman who are friendly with Echo. Then there’s the federal agent who has heard an urban myth about the dolls, and is trying to investigate their existence.”

For more on the show, here’s a weirdly ambivalent interview with Joss.

For a peek at the show, here is the first Dollhouse trailer to hit the Internet. From what I can see, Tom Lenk (Andrew from Buffy) and Tahmoh Penikett (Helo from BSG) are also taking part.

Speaking of Buffy, check out these insanely overpriced Buffy LEGO figures.
