I always love these. Many have noticed the uncanny resemblance between James Carville, my favorite Democrat, and LOTR’s Gollum.
Talking with my buddy Frank today, he pointed out that Carville even more closely resembles Voldemort — both in his looks and his approach to power struggles.

My mom saw Carville on TV last week. She couldn’t seem to get the retching taste out of her mouth, three days later, when we spoke of him. Even telling her that he has been a snake, known as such, called on because he’s so good at being such, before he blasted onto the national scene in a big way bailing Clinton out of the Gennifer Flowers mess in the run-up to ‘92…. nothing helped. She was shocked and appalled.
heh. Gollum and Voldemort. hehe. hehe. yep.
My son thought he saw a resemblance between He Who Must Not Be Named and a presidential candidate.
It’s always struck me how strangely inhuman Carville looks. I wonder if his extreme pugnacity and willingness to be perceived as a lunatic is a result of being treated oddly because of it?
On that second pairing, the creepy thing is the Voldemort looks more sympathetic.
Believe me, it’s just the picture that John used. Just rewatch the movies and you’ll see the connection. Especially the fight scene in the graveyard between Harry and Voldemort.
On an aside, you should all watch “The War Room.” It’s a documentary of the first Clinton campaign. I can’t stand Carville as a human being, but he’s VERY good at what he does. Just watch….you won’t be disappointed.
Oh, I know. I’ve seen all the movies so far. It’s just that the juxtaposition of pictures makes Voldemort look like the nice one, which is amusing.
Very true. I wonder if that picture was chosen on purpose?
