This is one of those late-night posts I’ll probably feel sheepish about in the morning.
After a long spiritual dry spell, God has been doing some neat things in my life lately. The ‘theme’ seems to be gratitude — I keep realizing just how blessed my life really is, despite my complete unworthiness of any regard. That isn’t false humility. The whole ’sinner saved by grace’ thing applies to me in spades. And yet. And yet. God has blessed me so much.
Driving home tonight, I realized how much I look forward to talking with all of you here. I am so grateful for all of you. Anyway. . . /mush
You have a lot to be grateful for. Most people never realize that. Present company included.
Hard to argue with Frank on that one. Here I’ve been complaining because I can’t sleep and completely overlooking the things I should be appreciating.
*mush, mush*
hey, indeed. I hope your very material difficulties and the “dry spell” are really working a more exceeding weight of glory. That’s hope in the proper theological signification, too.
And I thank God for you and yours, too!
Thankfulness is always a good thing as it brings divine perspective to our limited view of what is important and worth space in our brains.

mush… mush… been praying for quite awhile. Glad to hear that gratitude is winning out *hug*
You’re a good man, Jay!
slow.
news.
week.
Sorry! I’m back. NOT slow news week — two crazy personal weeks. Back now.
And to the rest of y’all… Thanks! If any of you get to Sarasota, look us up!
Heh. I actually did think it was a slow news week. And have been way too intent on my diss research for *any* kind of communication outside that (and some Kid’s Clubs I’m trying to help launch at our church).
