The Economy: We Can’t Afford Barack Obama

During the 90s, Hillary was always the Big Government devil on her husband’s shoulder. In the 2008 presidential campaign, however, she looks almost reserved compared to Barack Obama.  According to the National Taxpayer’s Union Foundation, Hillary supports $218 billion per year in new spending, while Obama’s economic plan proposes adding  307 billion dollars to the federal budget.  This is in a year when the budget deficit is projected to reach $400 billion on its own.

Anyone who thinks Obama’s muddled Iraq War plan will cover the deficit is delusional.  He has no intention of immediately pulling out of Iraq.  Anyone who thinks Obama’s health care plan will stay within budget is several miles beyond delusional.  It’s the nature of entitlements to mushroom.

With the economy already running on fumes and the dollar weakening, is the best plan really to suck productive money out of the economy and go on a government spending spree?
